Previously employed by Jacobs Simon set-up SW Consultancy in 2010 and has a track record of securing planning approval and unlocking the potential of a site.
The SW Consultancy team of transport planning and transport engineering professionals are based in Ireland and Scotland and provide a multidisciplined and joined-up approach to meet the needs of their clients. The team have extensive experience in assessment, design, and road safety. They liaise extensively with their clients and deliver a high level of professionalism and service.
SW Consultancy primarily specialise in private sector work. They have developed effective partnering and working relationships with councils and local authorities, and have taken numerous housing, commercial and industrial schemes from concept stage through the planning process to approval.
The practice also has public sector experience such as the delivery of the Local Transport Studies for DRD Roads Service. This multimodal project required assessment, review and transport planning for modes of travel including walking, cycling, bus and car to 2015 for the towns of Dungannon, Cookstown, and Enniskillen. This study used the guidance on the methodology of multi modal studies (GOMMMS) approach as part of the delivery process. Simon was also involved with the Railway Procurement Agency in an advisory role for the Metro North scheme in Dublin.
